NOWBC sources as much food as possible directly from local BC farms and processors. Every Friday, after finding out what is currently available from producers, NOWBC posts items in our on-line market for customers to order. Customer orders must be in by Monday midnight each week and Tuesday morning NOWBC tabulates the orders and places one large order with each supplier.  On Wed/Thur the co-op receives the food and a group of staff and volunteers weigh out all the individual quantities and distribute items to the various delivery depots around the city where customers pick-up their orders.

With this model, the food arrives super fresh, and by ordering together we are able to obtain lots of locally produced organic foods that would be less readily accessible to us otherwise. Savour the bounty of our local organic producers, and support a sustainable local food economy.
